On Road 4x4 Vilcabamba – Espiritupampa Circuit

During the resistance of the successor people of the Incas to the conquest, the warrior populations settled throughout the area between Vilcabamba and Inkawasi, they also entered the jungle area, surely with the support of ethnic groups such as the Matchiguengas in the San Miguel valley, establishing a large complex of even greater grandeur than that of Inkawasi where they settled for many years, it is important to mention that in this area the Wari culture would have previously been established, proof of this is the discovery of the Lord of Wari of Vilcabamba.

One way to get to know Espirituana and the archaeological complex of Vilcabamba is through a tour in 4×4 trucks, completing a circuit through the valleys of Vilcabamba, San Miguel and Chontabamba, returning through the town of Kiteni and Qullabamba, a great experience that allows travel along the routes of the Incas.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Arrival at Ecoterra Inka Lodge, visit the Arco Iris waterfall and fish farm, hike along the lodge trails. In the evening, after dinner, enjoy the table games. Open Bar until 10:30 pm.

DAY 2: VILCABAMBA – ESPIRITUPAMPA – KITENI

Departure at 5:00am towards Vilcabamba, arriving in Huancacalle at 8:00am. After a short snack, begin a 3-hour hike to visit the Rosaspata and Ñustahispana archaeological sites. Return to Huancacalle around 11:00 am, board the vehicles, and continue towards Yupanca and the San Miguel valley, climbing the Huarina pass. After descending the San Miguel valley, arrive at Espiritupampa by 2:00 pm for a 1-hour visit. Continue the journey downhill to Kiteni, arriving around 5:30 PM and staying in a comfortable, secure, and clean hotel.

DAY 3: KITENI – QUILLABAMBA – CUSCO

Breakfast at 7:30am, departure to Quillabamba, passing through the towns of Koribeni and Echarate, arriving at Quillabamba around noon for lunch, and in the afternoon, continue the journey to Cusco
