Cloud Forest - Hiking And Coffee Experience

An excellent option to explore the Cusco Jungle and engage in hands-on activities, nature tourism, and adventure can be developed at ECOTERRA INKA LODGE, a coffee plantation located in the mountains of the city of Quillabamba, 2000 meters above sea level, just 45 minutes from the city. It is accessible by a well-maintained road that leads to a hotel with comfortable rooms and offers a variety of activities such as birdwatching, coffee culture experiences, walks through high jungle trails, adventure activities like hiking, waterfall rappelling, mountain biking, tree climbing, and extreme swing, all of which keep you in direct contact with nature. The lodge also has modern and comfortable facilities, including a pool, fish farm, spacious dining areas, and meals specializing in trout and meats. In the evening, visit our pub “Yanamachu” or enjoy the warmth of our beautiful fireplace. All these activities will make your stay a unique experience.

DAY 1

Pickup from Hidroeléctrica at 2:30 pm, at 3:00 pm we visit the Cocalmayo hot springs, then continue towards Ecoterra Inka Lodge, arriving at approximately 7:30 pm for dinner. Open Bar until 10:30 pm.

DAY 2

Breakfast at 5:30 am, briefing on the activities to be carried out at Ecoterra Inka Lodge, departure to the cloud forest for a 3-hour hike through primary forests, with abundant flora and wildlife, ideal for bird watching as well. A box lunch will be provided at noon, and we return at 4:00 pm for a well-deserved rest and dinner at 7:30 pm, followed by either a fireplace or board games like futbito or ping pong. Open Bar until 10:30 pm.

DAY 3

Breakfast at 7:30 am, at 8:30 am the traditional Coffee Experience begins, starting with the harvesting, grinding techniques, and an explanation of the fermentation, roasting, and grinding processes, concluding with a coffee comparison and tasting experience. Through this experience, you will have gained basic knowledge of how coffee is obtained and the main characteristics of its production process.

In the afternoon, preparations will be made to return to the city of Cusco.
